Safety and scope
Safety and scope
Clear limits make for better decisions. Here is what FizzWizz controls, what it does not, and what your installation needs.
- Reads product temperature through a thermowell.
- Senses tank pressure.
- Doses CO2 through the stone to a calculated endpoint.
- Holds the selected carbonation level.
- Maintains head pressure during packaging.
- Runs Pre-Scrub cycles for oxygen-sensitive products.
- Fermentation and ethanol.
- Refrigeration and line temperature.
- Stone sizing and cleaning.
- Leaks and gas quality.
- Filler setup and line balance.
- Dissolved-oxygen measurement.
- Microbiological stability and package safety.
- The pressure rating of your vessel.
Installation
What your installation needs
Suitable gas
Beverage-grade CO2, and nitrogen if you use it for packaging, through clean lines and a working regulator.
A leak-checked supply
Check fittings, regulators and lines before installation and as routine maintenance.
A rated vessel
A pressure-rated tank with appropriate relief protection, reviewed by a competent person for the pressures involved.
Ventilation and monitoring
CO2 is an ingredient and an occupational hazard: it can displace oxygen in enclosed spaces. Ventilate and monitor where gas is stored and used.
Verification
Before product is released
Automated control with normal production verification. We do not describe any of this as "set it and forget it."
- Confirm final carbonation with a calibrated meter.
- Measure dissolved oxygen where it matters.
- Confirm fermentation is complete before packaging.
- Check product temperature at the filler.
About the claims on this site
We describe what FizzWizz is designed to do and the conditions it depends on. Any results we publish will say what was measured, how, and on what equipment. Customer results are individual, and we do not present them as typical.
